The Will Eisner Comic Industry Award

The Will Eisner Comic Industry Award. This award is given annually and it honors comic books and graphic novels. I have enjoyed reading these type of collections as a young adult and as an adult.I have seen many students who have enjoyed reading this type of collection as well. Graphic novels and comics can help students with difficulties in reading comprehension. The students are able to use the pictures as a guide and as a reference as they read. Not all students are the same therefore,our strengths and weaknesses in reading comprehension vary. I think it is very important to award all types of literature. Also, it brings new comic books or new graphic novels to the students attention.
